TAMPA, FL — Survivor Ventures was recently featured on FOX 13 Tampa, marking an important milestone for the organization’s growing Florida chapter and its continued commitment to survivor-led, trauma-informed community care. On Monday, Founder and President Tiffany McGee and Chief Marketing Officer and Holistic Care Director Elena Young visited the FOX 13 studio to share the mission, vision, and impact of Survivor Ventures’ work in the Tampa Bay area.

During the segment, Young discussed how Survivor Ventures is creating spaces rooted in healing, connection, and empowerment for survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and complex trauma. The conversation highlighted the importance of survivor-centered leadership and community-based solutions that prioritize dignity, choice, and long-term stability.

Since the official opening of the Florida chapter in May, Survivor Ventures has experienced an overwhelming response of support from the Tampa Bay community. Local partners, providers, advocates, and community members have stepped forward to collaborate in meaningful ways, helping to expand access to holistic care services, peer support, and survivor-led programming.

The FOX 13 feature also emphasized Survivor Ventures’ holistic approach to care, which integrates emotional wellness, economic empowerment, creative expression, and community connection. Through initiatives like survivor-led workshops, wellness services, and collaborative partnerships, the organization continues to address the complex and intersecting needs survivors often face during recovery.

Elena Young spoke to the importance of creating trauma-informed environments that are not only supportive, but sustainable. “Healing doesn’t happen in isolation,” Young shared. “It happens in community when survivors have access to safe spaces, compassionate care, and opportunities to reconnect with themselves and others. That’s what we’re building here in Tampa and across all Survivor Ventures chapters.”
