Survivor Ventures’ Housing Stability Program Receives $100,000 Grant from Hampton Roads Community Foundation
We are thrilled to announce that Survivor Ventures’ Housing Stability Program (HSP) has been awarded a $100,000 grant from the Hampton Roads Community Foundation!
This generous support will allow Survivor Ventures to expand access to safe and stable housing for survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation, a critical step toward economic empowerment and independence.

About the Housing Stability Program
Understanding that gainful employment and long-term financial stability are difficult to achieve without safe housing, the Housing Stability Program is a key component of our Survivors to Entrepreneurs (S2E) initiative. The program provides secure housing for survivors, paired with a comprehensive Intensive Community Treatment model, ensuring that participants have the support they need to rebuild their lives.
Many survivors face challenges such as poor or no credit, often the result of exploitation by traffickers. The Housing Stability Program aims to remove these barriers by offering:
-
Tenant-leased units throughout Survivor Ventures chapters
-
Up to 12 months of rental assistance, gradually tapering as participants gain financial independence
-
Financial literacy training and bank-ready assistance
-
Connection to the Survivors to Entrepreneurs program, including GED, job, and career training
-
Access to individual holistic care specialists
Rental assistance is tailored to each participant’s needs, with the program designed to gradually transition survivors toward full self-sufficiency while providing ongoing support.
